Participation in the competition

The participation in the competition is team.

To participate in the Competition you should register your team up to 15 April 2014 inclusive.

You need to have an e-mail to participate in the Competition.

After filling in the Registration Form the team will receive an e-mail where there will be a request to confirm the application. To finish the registration click on the link.

After confirmation of the application a registration letter will be sent, where one can find a login and a password for participation in the Competition.

The registered teams submit their works up to 15 April 2014 inclusive using their Virtual Office on the Project's web-site.

Common work requirements

1. The quantity of works which may be submitted by a team is not limited.
2. The submitted works should correspond to the theme and reflect its essence.
3. The usage of photos breaking the rights of third parties and of existing logos is not allowed.
4. The usage of others' audio and video, drawings, photos as well as plagiarism is not allowed.
5. Those works not corresponding to the Regulations of the international Internet-project “Dialogue of Cultures” or to its technical requirements may be rejected.
6. The competition works – video, presentations, photo and texts – are to be uploaded to the Project' s website (use Virtual Office). You should also fill in the information about each competition work: commentaries to photos and videos (not more than 600 signs).
7. 7. The technical requirements to the works in the format of video:
   • image ratio – 4:3 or 16:9
   • the maximum video resolution – 640х480 pixels
   • the acceptable file value – not more than 40 МB.
   • the admissible file formats: asf, avi, divx, flv, mov, mp4, mpeg, wmv, xvid.
   • the admissible codecs:

     Video: mpeg-4(divx, xvid), h264, mpeg-2, mpeg-1, vp6, wmv8, wmv9.
     Аudio: mp3, wma, aac, ogg vorbis, ac3

8. Technical requirements for presentation format works
   • file formats ppt, pps, pptx, ppsx, odp;
   • the admissible file value: not more than 5 МB.
9. Technical requirements for the works in the form of photo-report:
   • Admissible file format of the contest work: JPEG (*.jpg) high quality.
   • The maximum size of the picture on the widest side – 1600 pixels.
   • The admissible file value: not more than 5 MB.
   • The usage of other’s photos, plagiarism, photo assembling, adding any elements to the photo is not allowed.
   • Any logos, copyrights, signatures are not allowed.
   • The reasonable processing of photos to improve their quality is allowed (red-eye reduction, colour rendition improvement, regulation of sharpness, etc.)

The participants’ works must not:

• Brake existing laws, honour and dignity, protected by law rights and interests of third parties;
• Stimulate religious, race and international discord;
• Contain scienes of violence or animals inhuman treatment;
• Be of obscene or offencive character;
• Contain explicit or implicit promotion of narcotic drugs;
• Brake the intellectual property and allied rights of third parties;
• Be of a pornographic character;
• Contain commercials in any form.
